Think about this for a second: globally, men die 6 years earlier than women. To make it worse, the reasons are mainly preventable. 1 in 6 Aussie men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men. And 3 out of 4 suicides in Australia are men.
Pretty shocking, right? That’s why this year, we have decided to start a new portrait project in support of Movember Foundation: they’re hell-bent on changing the face of men’s health, and so are we.
The money we raise will help fund groundbreaking research, innovative health projects, scientific breakthroughs for cancer treatments and life-changing mental health programs.
This project is to create fine-art portraits of Men and their Beards and publish an Annual Portrait Book and create an Exhibition in support of the Movember Foundation.
We would love your support. If you have a beard or know someone who does, have them contact us. We are interested in photographing Man who has beards that are long, short, curly, straight, black, greying, white or even moustaches.

Men’s health is in crisis. Men are dying on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. Unchecked, prostate cancer rates will double over the next 15 years. Testicular cancer rates have already doubled in the last 50. And across the world, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 75% of all suicides.
Movember is uniquely placed to address this crisis on a global scale. We fund groundbreaking projects all over the world, engaging men where they are to understand what works best and accelerate change.

WHAT DOES THIS FUTURE LOOK LIKE? – For starters, half as many men dying from prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Half as many men suffering serious side effects as a result of treatment. Men feeling mentally healthy and well, resulting in a 25% reduction in the rate of male suicide.
