Professional portraits that reflect who you are

Headshot Preparation Guide

01.

Choose the Right Outfit

  • Aim for clean, simple, well-fitting clothes that make you feel confident.
  • Avoid loud patterns or large logos, they distract from your face.
  • Solid colours work best. Navy, charcoal, black, white, and muted tones photograph beautifully.
  • Bring a second option (e.g. jacket on/off, different shirt) for variety.
  • If your business has a particular look or dress code, reflect that.

02.

Hair and Grooming

  • A quick trim or tidy-up a few days before your session helps you look fresh.
  • Avoid changing your hairstyle dramatically right before the shoot.
  • Men: shave or trim facial hair neatly the morning of your session.
  • Women: light touch-up makeup that enhances your natural look works best. A bit of powder can reduce shine.

03.

Rest and Hydrate

  • Get a good night’s sleep beforehand, it genuinely makes a difference.
  • Drink plenty of water the day before and on the morning of your session.
